Mrs. D. C. Reynolds
Mrs. D. C. Reynolds died Sunday morning, July 25th, 1926, at her home in Nocona, after being ill for sometime, was buried Sunday afternoon at the Nocona Cemetery, funeral services being conducted by Rev. J. A. Russell, pastor of the Nocona Baptist church.
Anna May Battles was born at Huntsville, Alabama, June 21st, 1894 and with her parents moved to Texas while a child. She is survived by her husband, one sister. Mineola Martin, three brothers, John Battle of Rowland, Sid Battles of Dallas, and T. W. Battles of Oklahoma. They were all present at the funeral.

William J. Maples
William J. Maples died at home in Nocona at 2:40 Tuesday morning, April 3rd, 1928, and the funeral services were held at 4:00 o'clock that afternoon at the Nocona Methodist Church, being conducted by Rev. S. M. Williams, the pastor with interment immediately afterward at the Nocona Cemetery. He was born at Paint Rock, Alabama, October 10th, 1878, and was therefore, 54 years, 5 months and 23 days of age.
His mother died when he was an infant and he was reared by an aunt, Mrs. Williams, who moved to Texas with him in 1881. He cam to Necona about 1893 and on February 4th, 1894, he was married to Miss Maud Reynolds, and they have made Nocona their home all through these 34 years. Four children was born to them, three girls and one boy. His wife and three daughters, Mrs. Una Stansell, Mrs. Velma Cline and Miss Beatrice Maples, survive. One sister, Mrs. Sallie Moon of Hugo, Oklahoma, also survives.
Mr. Maples was converted during the Lockett Adair meeting in 1913, and joined the Methodist Church in which fellowship he remained until his death. He was a member of the Odd Fellows and of the Fraternal Brotherhood. Mr. Maples had been.....

Mrs. Nancy Maples, Widow of Former Nocona Leader, Dies
NOCONA, Texas, Dec. 3 - Funeral rites for Mrs. Nancy Maud Maples, 61, pioneer of Montague county, were held at the Methodist church here Thursday conducted by Revs. C. E. Cogewell and C. W. Thomas of Nocona. Interment was in Nocona Cemetery.
Mrs. Maples died at her home here Wednesday following a lingering illness. She was born at Daingerfield, Texas. Her husband W. J. Maples, deceased, served the city of Nocona as secretary several years, and this position at that time included assessing and collecting, he also acted as water commissioner.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Maples had resided at Nocona for around 25 years or more. Survivors are daughters Beatrice Maples, Mrs. Burley Stansel and Mrs. Charles Cline, Nocona, Texas. Three brothers, Henry, Dave, and Author Reynolds, of Nocona, five sisters, Mrs. Art Brown, Ringgold, Texas, Mrs. Rose Taylor, Chico, Texas, Mrs. J. W. Dobins, Chattanooga, Tenn., Mrs. John Davis, Ada, Okla., Mrs Ben Roberson, of East Texas.

Services For A. O. Reynolds Held Friday
Funeral services were held Friday, June 2, for A. O. Reynolds who was killed instantly Thursday morning June 1, at 4:30 a.m. when his car collided with a truck three and one-half miles east of Saint Jo. Reynolds was returning home from work when the accident occurred. He was an employee of the George L. Pace Oil Company.
Services were held at 3:30 o'clock at the Nocona cemetery with Rev. L. E. Rambo, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment was made in the Nocona cemetery under the direction of the Daugherty Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Roy Radford, Dow Howard, E. H. White, Hassell Reynolds, Jimmie Currey and Woodie Chapman. Survivors include his wife and one son, Guinn, fifteen years of age; two brothers H. A. Reynolds and Dave Reynolds, both of Nocona; five sisters, Mrs. Maggie Robinson, Mrs Fannie Davis of Stonewall, Okla., Mrs. Flora Brown of Nocona, Mrs. Ora Dobbins of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Mrs. Rosa Taylor of Park Springs, and a host of other relatives and friends

Frank Eugene Taylor Buried Near Sunset
BOWIE, Tex., Jan 12, (Special) - Funeral services were held Monday in Church of Christ, Sunset, for Frank Eugene Taylor, 73, who died Saturday night in a Bowie hospital following a week's illness. He was a retired farmer.
S. W. Driver, county minister of the Church of Christ, officiated and interment was in the Pringle Cemetery, near Sunset. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Sid Hill, Chillicothe, Tex., and several nieces and nephews. Burgess Funeral Home made the arrangements.

Victor Reynolds Dies At Byers; Rites Held Here
An illiness of nine years resulted in the death last Monday at Byers of Victor Howell Reynolds, 67, for whom funeral services were held here Tuesday afternoon.
A retired farmer and a veteran of World War One, Mr. Reynolds had lived at Byers for the last 12 years. He was born May 30, 1891 at DeKalb, Ala. and he married Viola Reynolds December 23, 1935 at Marietta, Okla.
The widow survives with three sisters, Mrs. Emma Bethune and Mrs. Kate St. Clair of Dallas and Mrs. Pearl Ledbetter of Paris, and one brother, Arthur Reynolds of Chillicothe.
The services were held at the Daugherty Memorial chapel with A. A. Farley of Santo, Texas, officiating. Interment was in Nocona Cemetery. Bearers were Rab Barker, Fred Keck, Arvil Wall, Osie Wall, Buck Kennedy and L. M. Rucktashel.

Reynolds Services Slated At Nocona
NOCONA, Tex. (Special) - Services for David C. Reynolds of Nocona will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from Daughtery Funeral Home Memorial chapel with Rev. Terry Atkinson, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Nocona Cemetery
Born Nov. 14, 1888 in Montague County, he died Monday morning at his home in Nocona. Survivors include his widow, Gertrude Reynolds; three step-sons, Leroy Simmons, Paul Simmons, and Phil Simmons; two sisters, Mrs. Orar Dobbins of Nocona and Mrs. Flora Brown of Ringgold; one brother, Henry Reynolds of Nocona, and eight grandchildren.

Henry Reynolds, Formerly City Secretary Dies
Henry Addison Reynolds, 75, city secretary for a number of years, retired farmer and more recently election judge of the Third ward, died at 1:30 last Saturday morning. He had been ill for four months.
Mr. Reynolds was a native of Nocona. He was born October 14, 1886, the son of A. C. and Mary Melissa Reynolds. He married Anna Lou Battles October 11, 1908 in Nocona.
Mrs. Reynolds survives with two daughters, Mrs. Viola Reynolds of Burkburnett and Mrs. Jean Russell of Nocona; three sons, A. B. (Jack) and Clyde A. Reynolds of Grand Prairie and Orville Reynolds of Nocona; two sisters, Mrs. Ora Dobbin of Nocona and Mrs. Flora Brown of Houston; 12 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
Funeral rites were held at 2:30 Sunday afternoon at the Daugherty Memorial chapel with Rev. Smith Middleton officiating. Interment was in Nocona cemetery where Masonic rites were held at the grave. Bearers were Charlie Burnett, R. D. Collins, Leon Henry, Otis Howard, Dan Butler and Boyd C. Maddox.

Minton Harris Dies Suddenly Saturday Morn
William Minton (Mint) Harris, local retired painter, was dead on arrival at the local hospital after collaspsing in an alley near the Jack Lesh Texaco Station on Highway 82 last Saturday morning. He was 82 years of age.
It was Mr. Harris' custom to visit the Lesh station each morning for a while and he was walking toward the station when he fell. A Daugherty-McGaughy ambulance rushed him to the hospital but he was dead upon arrival.
Funeral services were held at the Daugherty-McGaughey Funeral Chapel Monday at 4:30 p.m. Rev. W. D. Craig, retired Methodist minister, officiated and burial was in the Nocona Cemetery.
Mr. Harris was born October 21, 1886 in Louisiana but had been a resident of Nocona for many years. He was married to Hattie Reynolds on November 3, 1907 here.
Survivors include his wife and one daughter, Mrs. Dixie Weaver of Tusculoosa, Alabama. Pall bearers were Jack Lesh, Marvin Parr, Weldon Robb, Lenard Bertram, Atlas Gilbert, Bill Leonard Sr., and Walter Hodges.

Mrs. Ora Dobbins Dies At Age 89
The body of Mrs. Ora R. Dobbins, 89, Rt. 3, Nocona, was taken to Chattanooga, Tennessee for burial following funeral services at Scott Bros. Funeral Chapel here at 2:00 p.m. Saturday. Rev. W. W. Penn, pastor of First United Methodist Church, Nocona officiated at the service.
Mrs. Dobbins died at 1:10 p.m. Friday at Major Clinic Hospital after an illness of nine months. She was born in Nocona April 27, 1880. Her husband, J. A. Dobbins preceded her in death. She was a member of First Methodist Church, Nocona

Orville Reynolds Rites Are Held Tuesday Afternoon
Orville Wade Reynolds, 56, a lifelong resident of Nocona, died at 10:30 Sunday night at Major Clinic Hospital after a month's illness.
Services were at 3 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Kirby, pastor of Bethel Baptist Church and Mike Russell, officiating.
Born Aug. 20, 1917 at Nocona, he married the former Laverne Meeks on January 15, 1939 at Marietta, Okla. He was a rancher and for 25 years was employed with the Montague County ASCS office. He retired a short time ago. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Laverne, of the home; his mother, Mrs. Henry Reynolds of Nocona; two daughters, Mrs. Gary (Rebecca) Scroggins and Mrs. W. R. (Patti) Tucker, both of Nocona; and one son, Harold Reynolds, also of Nocona; two sisters, Mrs. Lewis (Jean) Russell, Nocona, and Mrs. Viola Reynolds, Burkburnett; two brothers, Jack and Clyde, both of Arlington, Texas; and four grandchildren.
Interment was in Nocona Cemetery under direction of Scott Bros. Funeral Home. Pall bearers were Coy Fite, A. W. Farquhar, Wayne Matthews, Travis Fore, Winifred Crow, Frank Bumpus, Bill Seeds and Roscoe Vaughn.

NOCONA, Texas (Special) - Mrs. Alta Maud Reynolds, 88, died Tuesday in a Cleburn, Texas, hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Daugherty-McGaughy Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Russell of Lewisville, Texas, and the Rev. Jerry Kirby, pastor of Bethel Baptist Church in Nocona, officiating. Burial will be in Nocona Cemetery.
Born July 14, 1890, in Gurley, Ala., Mrs. Reynolds lived in Nocona more than 60 years until she moved to Alvarado, Texas, three years ago. Mrs. Reynolds was a homemaker and a member of the Methodist church. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Battles, Nocona area pioneers.
Survivors include a son, Guinn of Alvarado; a sister, Mrs. Anna Lou Reynolds of Nocona; a grandson and a great-granddaughter.

NOCONA, Texas (Special) - Mrs. Hattie Augusta Harris, 90, died Thursday in a Nocona hospital.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Daugherty-McGaughy Funeral Home with Jack Crain officiating. Burial will be in Nocona Cemetery. She was born Sept. 10, 1888, in Nocona and was a lifelong resident.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church and was a homemaker. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Wanda Weaver of Nocona.
