Charles D. Reynolds

Paxton- Charles D. Reynolds, 58, of Paxton died at 4:25 p.m. Sunday in Mary Sherman Hospital at Sullivan. He was a layout inspector and journeyman. He was born July 25, 1931, in Equality, Illinois to George Reynolds and Carrie Smith Reynolds.

Survivors include one half brother, Romulus Hancock of Paxton. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.  Cremation is scheduled. There are no services or visitation. Alexander Funeral Home at Sullivan assisted with arrangements.

Bernard "Smokey" Reynolds

Robinson, Illinois -  Bernard "Smokey" Reynolds, 67 of 1401 N. Jackson Street died at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 12, 1991 in St. Vincent's Hospital at Indianapolis. He was born February 7, 1924 in West York to Everett Reynolds and Myong Song Reynolds. He was a veteran of WW II and the Korean War. Military graveside services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Fort Benjamin Harrison at Indianapolis. Visitation is noon to 1:45 p.m. Saturday in Prust-Hosch Funeral Home Chapel.

Clarabell Reynolds

Clarabell Reynolds, 73, of 2410 N. 6 1/2 Street died at 10:05 p.m. Friday, May 31, 1991 in Union Hospital. She was an Avon representative. She was born August 7, 1917 in Terre Haute to L. G. Stoneking and Goldie Davis Stoneking.

Survivors include one son, Gary Ellis of Terre Haute, one daughter, Sandra McDaniel of Terre Haute; two brothers, Leroy Stoneking of Victoria, Texas and Charles Stoneking of Lake Wales, Florida; two sisters, Nellie Casad of Terre Haute and Josephine Lathan of Staunton; one grandchild; and nieces and nephews.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Roselawn Memorial Park Chapel with the Rev. Terry Dowell officiating. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in DeBaun Idaho Street Chapel.

Don L. Reynolds

Casey, Illinois - Don L. Reynolds, 76, of 807 S. Central died at 11:43 p.m. Monday, August 24, 1992, in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was a retired Meter Technician for Marathon Pipeline. He was born March 1, 1916 in Cumberland County to Leonard Franklin Reynolds and Bessie Sherwood Reynolds. His wife, Wilda I. Phillippi Reynolds died in 1984.

Survivors include three daughters; Nancy Beachum of Roxana, Sandra Johnson of East Alton and Debbie Black of Casey; two brothers, Lee of Casey and Dale of Decatur; two sisters, Merna Francis of Decatur and Lola Fox of West Terre Haute; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren and companion Elizabeth Brewer of Greenup.

He was an Army veteran of WW II, a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Casey American Legion Post 566.

Services are 10 a.m. Thursday in Markwell and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Daniel M. Smith officiating.

Burial is in Washington Street Cemetery. Pallbearers are Lawrence Gabel Jr., Don Gabel, Richard Reynolds, Danny Reynolds, Dane Reynolds and Mike Waller. Visitation is 5 to 8 pm. today.

Doris Jean Reynolds

Brazil - Doris Jean Reynolds, 82, of Brazil, died at 12:01 p.m. Saturday in St. Vincent Hospital at Indianapolis. She was a housemother of Alpha Chi Omega sorority at Indiana University for six years, a housemother at Purdue University for Girls, and worked at J. C. Penney at Brazil for several years. 

She was born October 31, 1907 in Cramlington, England to William Walton and Dora Jane Bowman Walton. Her husband, Harold E. Reynolds, died in 1964. 

Survivors include three daughters, W. Jean Sneddon and Doris E. Brand of Brazil, and D. Jane Hoffman of Frankfort, one son, Harold E. Reynolds, Jr. of Greencastle, one sister, Dorothea May Walton of Terre Haute, 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

She graduated from Glenn High School in 1925 and attended Terre Haute Normal College and Eastern Illinois University. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, a former Red Cross Gray Lady and hospital auxiliary and superintendent of Sunday school kindergarten.

Services are 1 p.m.  Wednesday in Lawson-Slack Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert L. Ostermeier officiating. Burial is in Center Point Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and until time of services Wednesday.

Edna Evelyn Vestal Reynolds

Clinton - Edna Evelyn Reynolds, 85 of Clinton, died at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 1992 in Vermillion Convalescent Center. She was born July 26, 1906, in Clinton to Littleton J. Vestal and Nora Victoria Butcher Vestal. Her husband, Rush F. Reynolds, died January 31, 1989.

Survivors include three sons, Russell E. Reynolds of Otterbein, Charles E. Reynolds of Danville and Robert W. Reynolds of Terre Haute; eight daughters, Jemima Berry, Lenora Reynolds, Rita M. Hastings, Lloy D. Guinn and Mona G. Lloyd of Clinton, Betty Niccum of Covington,  Mary Jane Huff of Farmersburg and Marjorie M. Sanders of Perrysville. 51 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Services are 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Frist Funeral Home with the Rev. Gale Guinn officiating. Burial is in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today.

Gregg Smith Reynolds

Gregg Smith Reynolds, 36, of 2010 Park Ave. died at 3:40 a.m. Wednesday, September 25, 1991, in his residence. He was a research analyst for Terre Haute First National Bank.

He was born Oct 8, 1954 in Terre Haute to Robert Thomas Reynolds, Sr. and Helen Rose Smith Reynolds.

Survivors include his mother of Terre Haute, one brother, Uriah Robert of Terre Haute, two sisters, Joyce Meissel and Judy Kendall of Terre Haute; and nieces and nephews.

He was a board member of the Mental Health Association, Terre Haute Symphony and Princeton Mining Co. board member and treasurer of Leadership Terre Haute, past board member of Association for Retarded Citizens, treasurer for Trees Inc. advisor for the Applied Economics program and Project Business for Junior Achievement, executive committee advisor for Alpha Tau Omega at DePauw University and a member of the Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors Club.

He taught a semester each year in medical anthropology at DePauw and Indiana State University.

Services are 7:30 p.m. Friday in Mattox-Wood North Terre Haute Chapel, with the Rev. Allan Harlan officiating. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is 4 p.m. to services Friday.

Harold "Si" Reynolds

Robinson, Illinois - Harold "Si" Reynolds, 81, of Robinson, died at 1:45 a.m. Tuesday in Crawford Memorial Hospital. He was retired from Endsley Inc. after 30 years.

He was born November 6, 1907 in Hartford City, Indiana to Walter Reynolds and Ada Reynolds. His wife, Esther Thompson Reynolds died July 12, 1974.

Survivors include one son, Gregory of Robinson, one brother, Clifford of Salem, Mo, nieces and nephews. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday in Goodwine Funeral Home, with the Rev. Maurice Reed officiating. Burial is in Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and until services Friday.

Helen Rosemary Reynolds

Helen Rosemary Reynolds, 70, of Jacksonville, Florida and formerly of Vigo County died at 2 a.m. Sunday in Methodist Hospice at Jacksonville. She was a homemaker. She was born November 15, 1918 in Sandford to Orlie Otis Joy and Maude Schuman Joy.

Her husband Albert Benton Reynolds, died March 13, 1964.

Survivors include two daughters, Rosann J. Parr of Jacksonville and Karen S. Reynolds of New Haven, Connecticut, one son, Thomas Reynolds of Jacksonville, three brothers, Ernest Joy of Herman, Missouri, Harold Joy of Anderson and Charles Joy of Ocala, Florida, four sisters, Ruth Monts and Charlotte Mount of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, Edna Anderson of Brazil and Ethel Andrews of Livermore, California, her mother of Terre Haute; and four grandchildren.

Services are 11 a.m. Saturday in Lakeshore Methodist Church at Jacksonville. Burial is in Arlington National Cemetery at Arlington, Virginia. Visitation is 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home at Jacksonville. Robert D. Loose Funeral Home at Anderson assisted with arrangements.

Bedford - Herbert S. Reynolds, 81, of Bedford died at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, August 3, 1991, in his residence. He was a retired railroad conductor for Monon and L&N. He was born April 10, 1910, in Lawrence county to William Henry Reynolds and Sophia Fry Reynolds.

Survivors include a daughter, Vickie White of Rockville. He was a member of Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen and Grace United Methodist Church. 

Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday in Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, with the Rev. Douglas Finney officiating. Burial is in Cresthaven Memory Garden. Visitation is 4 to 9 p.m. Monday.

Isom Reynolds

Coal City - Isom Reynolds. 88, Route 2 died at 9:25 a.m. Friday, August 21, 1992, in Bloomington Hospital. He was a self-employed farmer and also worked in the ASCS office at Spencer, former Jefferson Township Trustee and had done carpentry work.

He was born June 23, 1904, in Coal City to John Reynolds and Lida Burger Reynolds.

Survivors include his wife, Agnes Smith, four daughters, June Van Horn, Wanda Reynolds and Doris Ann Lent of Coal City and Winnie Baughn of Carmel, one son, Gerald G. of Coal City, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was a member of the Bethel Church of Christ. Services are 2 p.m. Sunday in Schoppenhorst Funeral Home at Clay City, with Brother Cletis Ellett officiating. Burial is in Fiscus Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today and before services Sunday.

Lawrence E. "Fuzzy" Reynolds, 65, of 1502 Chase St. died at 6:05 p.m. Monday in his residence. He was a salesman.

He was born September 12, 1924, in Dresser to Burt E. Reynolds and Bessie Campbell Reynolds. 

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Reynolds, one daughter, Penny Jackson of Terre Haute, two sons, Darrel E. of Rockville and Raymond A. of Greencastle, one sister, Josephine Pegg of West Terre Haute, seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and nieces and nephews. Services are 1:30 p.m. today in Mattox-Wood North Terre Haute Chapel, with the Rev. Minnie Gowen officiating. Burial is in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Rockville - Mark Allen Reynolds, 83, of Rockville, died at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 19, 1992 in his residence. He was a retired insurance agent.

He was born February 19, 1909 in Plainfield to Wilford S. Reynolds and Nora Owens Reynolds. His wife Mildred Reynolds died Oct 3, 1980.

Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Barnard of Rosedale and Claire Roberts of Harbor City, California, one brother Wilford Reynolds of Evanston, Illinois, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was a member of Society of Friends. Services are 1 p.m. Tuesday at Barnes Mortuary with the Rev. Brad Bumgardner officiating. Burial is in Memory Garden Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Monday.

Mildred H. Reynolds, 78, of Terre Haute died at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, September 1992 in Meadows Manor East. She was a retired beautician.

She was born March 13, 1914 in Georgia.

Paul C. Reynolds, 85, of 539 S. Eighth Street West Terre Haute died at 7:53 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 1991 in his residence.

He was born April 24, 1906 in Gatliff, Kentucky to James L. Reynolds and Rose Hall Reynolds.

Survivors include his wife, Jessie Meadors Reynolds, one daughter, Pat Atterson of West Terre Haute, one son, James of Terre Haute, one brother, Howard of West Terre Haute, four sisters, Marie Chitwood of Louisville, Kentucky, Jenida Elans of Carbondale, Georgia, Eunice Reynolds of Williamsburg, Kentucky, and Helen Rickett of Maple Creek, Kentucky, eight grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was a former coal miner in the Gatliff Mine and was employed at Stran Steel and St. Mary-of-the-Woods.

Services are 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Thomas & Butts West Terre Haute Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Leek officiating. Burial is in Bethesda Memorial Park. Visitation is 11 a.m. to services Saturday.

Robert E. Reynolds, 63, of 345 Bluebird Drive, died at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 22, 1990, in his residence. He was founder and former owner of Reynolds Automotive Products Inc.

He was born April 15, 1927, in Boonville to Earl Reynolds and Sarah Brammer Reynolds.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy M. Kirchoff Reynolds, one daughter, Peggy Abram of Indianapolis, two sisters, Betty Palmer of Terre Haute and Patty Irving of Plainfield, two granddaughters, one grandson and several nieces and nephews.

He was a member of Benevolent and Protected Order of Elks Lodge 86, Terre Haute Masonic Lodge 19, Zorah Shrine , Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute and Victory Christian Church. He was an Army veteran of WW II.

 Services are 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Callahan Funeral Home East Chapel, with the Revs.

Keith Burrow and Norton Richardson officiating. Burial is in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and 11 a.m. to services Tuesday.
